The 3-way ball valve has been especially designed for use in bulk material rail wagons. Depending on the device’s position, air for the pneumatic unloading of the silo wagon may either be introduced only into the left or only into the right side, or simultaneously into both sides and halves of the wagon.

The device, as it is currently used, is solely suitable for air pipes.
