How fast can a rail wagon be unloaded?
The unloading time of a rail wagon essentially depends on the amount of air that may be injected into the rail wagon via the discharge system during the unloading operation, it is limited by the material connecting piece of the rail wagon itself.
As this is a pneumatic conveying process, the limiting parameters are the same as those applying to pneumatic conveyances.
In principle, unloading times of less than one hour can be assumed. Factors such as the quality of the rail wagon, the bulk material, the conveying distance are further influencing factors affecting the unloading time.
