The mechanical discharge aid “Silex” is used for poorly flowing and difficult to non-fluidizable bulk materials. It is installed in silos, bunkers, and containers with round as well as rectangular designs. Due to its low installation height and simple operating principle, retrofitting into existing silos and containers is usually possible without major modifications.

With minimal force, the Silex guarantees remarkable effectiveness in preventing bridging and core flow. The system operates with an oscillating rotary motion. Steel chains are attached to the rotating device. The steel chains are fixed to the upper edge of the cone. Through the oscillating movement, they act like knives between the silo wall and the bulk material. Any bridging is thus eliminated, as the force flow from the bulk material to the silo wall is interrupted.
